Fence Cleaning

Fence cleaning. Back to the original color.

A dirty fence is the easiest thing to fix in the entire yard. Wood fences go silver-gray from UV and black from mildew; vinyl chalks up and traps spider-web grime; wrought iron picks up rust and irrigation spray. Each material has a right method. None of them involve a 0-degree tip at close range.

What do homeowners ask about Fence Cleaning?

Will cleaning bring back the wood color?

Mostly. A percarbonate wood cleaner plus a wood brightener in the rinse pulls out the gray UV oxidation and the mildew. What you get is the natural wood tone — not new-lumber pink, but a clean, warm color. If you want it darker or sealed, you stain after we clean.

Should I re-stain after cleaning?

If the fence was stained originally and that stain is failing, yes — clean, let it dry 48–72 hours, then stain. Stain-grade semi-transparent product gives 2 to 4 years of protection in San Diego sun. We can refer a stainer or you can DIY — a Wagner pad applicator handles most residential fences in a weekend.

Can you clean just my side of a shared fence?

Yes, and we do it often. Fence-sharing neighbors sometimes have different schedules or budgets. We'll clean just your side and flag the property line carefully — we don't overspray into the neighbor's yard.

What about vinyl fences that have yellowed?

Yellowing from UV is pigment breakdown — it's not a dirt film and it won't wash off. What does wash off is the gray-green mildew and the chalky oxidation sitting on top. We'll clean what's cleanable and tell you straight what's UV damage.

Homeowners who hired us for this

North-facing side of our house was black with streaking. They softwashed the siding and the roof the same morning and left the place looking five years younger. No pressure damage to the stucco, no splatter on the windows. Honest pricing.

Got three quotes. Rinse Pro was the only one to explain the hot-water surface cleaner versus a cold-water wand. You can see the difference in the finish. Driveway looks like it was poured last week.

David K. Driveway & Patio Cleaning · El Cajon

I was worried about them walking on our clay tile roof. They did the whole thing from the ground with a long soft-wash wand and the black streaks were gone in one visit. Professional, clean, and they showed up when they said they would.
