Estimates use current San Diego County market rates. Real quotes come from a free on-site visit that accounts for staining severity, access, water supply, and drainage. Call (858) 925-5546.

How to use the calculator

  1. Pick the surface. The calculator picks the right PSI and method for you, hot-water surface cleaner for concrete, soft wash for stucco and roofs, medium-pressure fan tip for wood.
  2. Enter the area. For driveways and patios, measure length × width. For houses, use the approximate total siding area (single-story 1,500 sqft home ≈ 1,200 sqft siding). For roofs, use the roof footprint, not living area.
  3. Read the range. You'll see a low-to-high band based on current San Diego County rates. Add the optional sealing checkbox for concrete or paver jobs that need a topcoat.
  4. Book a real estimate. The free on-site visit converts the range into a flat-rate quote. Staining severity and access usually move the number toward one end of the band.

What the PSI numbers mean

SurfaceMethodWorking PSI
Concrete (driveway, sidewalk, patio)Hot-water surface cleaner3,000–4,000
PaversSurface cleaner + re-sand2,500–3,000
Wood deck25° fan tip, 12" standoff1,200–1,800
Wood fence25° fan tip, 12" standoff1,200–1,500
Stucco, vinyl, wood sidingSoft wash (SH + surfactant)Under 500

Clay / concrete tile roofSoft washUnder 200
Composite deck (Trex, Fiberon)Manufacturer soft washUnder 1,500

Soft wash uses chemistry (sodium hypochlorite + surfactant) at very low pressure. The chemistry kills algae, mildew, and mold at the root. Pressure alone just knocks surface dirt off, it doesn't kill organic growth, and too much pressure damages the surface it's meant to clean.

Calculator FAQs

How accurate is the estimator?
The calculator returns a range based on current San Diego County market rates. Real quotes depend on stain severity, access, water supply, and drainage, all verified in person at the free on-site estimate.
Why different PSI for different surfaces?
High pressure strips asphalt shingle granules, carves stucco, and gouges wood. Concrete can take 3,000–4,000 PSI all day. Roofs, stucco, and painted surfaces must be soft-washed at under 500 PSI with chemistry doing the work.
Does the price include sealing?
No. The base estimate covers cleaning only. Concrete and paver sealing is an add-on. Tick the box above to see a sealing-included estimate.
Can you pressure wash a roof?
No, not at high pressure. ARMA calls for low-pressure soft wash on asphalt shingle. Pressure washing voids warranties and strips granules.
What cities do you serve?
All 47 cities across San Diego County, from Oceanside to Chula Vista and Julian to La Jolla.
How long does an average residential job take?
A driveway is 1–2 hours. A house wash is 2–4 hours. A soft-wash roof is 2–4 hours. A full-exterior refresh is typically a one-day job.
